Privacy policy

This policy covers www.gujujobs.com: what we collect, how we use it, who can see it, and the choices you have.

When you browse. You can read every listing without an account. We collect how the site is used: the pages you visit, your browser and device, and your approximate location from your internet address. Our host keeps the request logs a website needs to run.

Your account. Your email address, your name if you give one, and your password if you set one. Everything you post or apply for is linked to your account.

When you apply. Your answers to the employer’s questions (by default your name, email address and phone number, and a note on why you fit; an employer can change the questions), your resume if the job asks for one (a PDF of up to 5 MB), the job’s title and company as they were when you applied, the date, and the application’s status, which the employer sets and you can see.

When you post a job. Your company’s name, website, description, city and logo, your listings, and any private notes you keep on applications.

When you buy an ad. The company name, website, logo and line you give the ad, the ad slot it was given, and when it was paid for.

• To run the board, send your application to the employer, and show you where it stands.
• To review employers’ posts before they go live.
• To keep the site secure and stop fraud and fake listings.
• To understand how the site is used and make it better.
• To contact you about your account, your applications and your listings.

• Everyone: live listings, and a company’s page once one of its listings is approved. Search engines can show them. We don’t show which account manages a company.
• Everyone, for a company ad: the company name, logo, line and website the buyer gave it, while it runs. We don’t show which account bought it.
• Your application and resume: you, the employer you applied to (everyone who manages that company on GujuJobs), and GujuJobs moderators. The employer also sees the name and email address on your account.
• An employer’s notes on an application: that employer and GujuJobs moderators. The applicant never sees them.

Once sent, an application can’t be edited or withdrawn on the site. An employer can download a resume they receive; a copy they keep is theirs to look after, and we can’t delete it. For a listing collected from a company’s careers page, you apply on the company’s site, and we never receive that application.

We don’t sell your information. Beyond the employer you apply to, we share it only with:

• companies that run parts of GujuJobs for us, such as hosting, sign-in, storage, email, analytics and reviewing job posts, and only so they can provide those services to us. Some of them may process information outside India;
• authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect people from fraud or harm.

Some listings are marked Featured and shown first on the board. Companies also pay for ads on the board, which link to their own websites. Neither is chosen using your personal information, and we don’t share your information with advertisers.

We may email you about your account, your applications and your listings, for example when an employer decides on your application or your listing is approved. Any other email from us, such as news about GujuJobs, will have a link to unsubscribe.

We use cookies to keep you signed in. We may also use cookies or similar technology to understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser’s settings; if you block the ones that keep you signed in, you won’t be able to sign in.

Nothing is deleted automatically after a set time; we keep what you give us until you ask us to delete it. Deleting your account doesn’t delete applications you have sent. They stay with the employer, with your resume, unless you ask us to delete them.

Write to contact@gujujobs.com from the address on your account and say what you want: a copy of what we hold about you, a correction, or deletion. We can delete your applications and resume from GujuJobs, but not copies an employer has already saved.

You can change your sign-in details yourself on your Account page.

Applications and resumes are stored privately, and only the people listed under “Who can see what” can open them. No website is perfectly secure, so if you think your account has been misused, tell us at contact@gujujobs.com.

GujuJobs is for people looking for work or hiring. It is not meant for children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change affects how we use information you have already given us, we will say so on the site.
